India’s startup story has not been less than a ride full of twists and turns. At any given time, there is a hot new startup that is being seeded by its founder and breaking out of its incubator, and at that very same moment, there is another startup that has had its place in the sun and basked in its glory and is quietly riding off into the sunset.
While this momentous rise in the startup ecosystem has made India the world’s third largest startup nation and a key market for innovative ideas, niche technology, products, and services, there is a need for industry veterans to handhold startups, entrepreneurs and walk them through their evolution cycle. It is important to provide them mentorship, business structuring advisory, market access, operational support, proposition support and fundraising.
With an aim to extend that support, SingEx Exhibitions India is all set to host a startup focused event Xelerate India 2017 to accelerate “preneurship” in India.
A two-day exhibition cum summit event, which is scheduled to be held from 11th April to 12th April 2017 at New Delhi, aims to be a one-stop platform for entrepreneurs, wannapreneurs, technopreneurs, and socialpreneurs, to exchange ideas, thoughts, and gain mentorship, strike collaborations with decision makers, influencers and intra exhibitors’ businesses to discuss the various aspects of Indian startup ecosystem.
While today almost every startup has a choice of attending one amongst the many mushrooming startup events connecting key stakeholders, what differentiates Xelerate India is its keen focus on sectors like IoT, SaaS, HealthTech, EdTech and Marketplace.
Highlighting the need of developing that ecosystem, Mr. Baldeep Singh, Country Head SingExIndia says, “The objective of this event will be to create a hub and spoke model where the event becomes the hub and helps startups collaborate with Startup Ecosystem Players, Corporates, and Government agencies. The event will also introduce innovative startups, incubation centres, state government startup policies and other private organizations who are working to foster innovation.”
The event has an impressive line-up of speakers, including Vidhya Shankar, Executive Director at Grant Thorton, Michael Alfred, Commercial Counsellor, Philippine’s Trade and Investment Center and Mohit Bhasin, Director, KPMG, among other delegates, investors, services providers and policymakers. They will interact and network with startups and key stakeholders to evolve the ecosystem and create India’s very own startup valley (enabling environment).
