Zee Melt 2016: Prominent leaders deliberate on innovations in marketing and communications

Zee Melt 2016, a two-day marketing festival kick-started on 26th August at Pullman Suites and Novotel, provided a unique platform for industry leaders to discuss, debate and reflect on innovations in marketing and communications through multiple conferences, seminars and workshops. The event provided a buffet of opportunities to marketing enthusiasts to interact and network with the best creative minds.

Brian Gleason, Global CEO, XAxis discussed the important role of technology and data in the creative process that is often overlooked. Brian pointed out that we often talk about data but mostly don’t know what we are trying to do with that particular data. He emphasized on the fact that technology enables brands to have more elegant and private conversations with their audiences.

In his crisp and insightful session, Raju Narisetti, Senior VP, Strategy, News Corp, plainly dismissed all speculations suggesting the end of print journalism and confidently stated that print is here to stay,  whether we like it or not.

Although conferences were the major highlight of this marketing festival, the two-day event also witnessed some interactive seminars and workshops by renowned speakers from the marketing and advertising fraternity, such as Nicole Yershon, Director, Digital Innovation, Ogilvy & Mather Group UK; James Welch, Managing Director, Blue Logic; Ashish Mishra, Managing Director, Interbrand India; and Barry Schwarz, Creative Director, Addikt. The speakers indulged in discussions on current scenarios and emerging trends in marketing and communications, and also provided their insights on a variety of notions regarding delivery of a brand’s messages and calibre of social networking sites in the brand building process.
